It was time to bake and it was time to bake something nice for lunch, or coffee, or breakfast, or..... well any excuse was just fine with me!
Three ripe bananas were staring at me from the kitchen desk and so it came to be Banana Bread.
I found this recipe in one of my favorite cookbooks:
Apples for Jam; recipes for life by Tessa Kiros
I really love this recipe, it's one of my favorites. Banana bread travels with me on picnics and to friends. I love to sprinkle poppy seeds on top; somehow the dough rises and bakes and makes the poppy seeds form a bow tie.
You can find lots of good banana bread recipes on the net, like this one.
So give it a try (if you haven't all ready) and tell me what you think!
i love banana bread :)
