The Versatile Blogger Award

I've been smiling and grinning all day!
First of all my love was so nice to let me sleep this morning, taking care of miss E. And then, when I woke up and started my computer I found out that Julie from a tale from toadstool house, nominated me for the versatile blogger award!
I am honoured and grateful. Thank you so much Julie, I'm still smiling from ear to ear!

You can find the rules of and info about the award here:

They include:
Select 15 blogs/ bloggers that you've recently discovered or follow regularly.
Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award,
And finally tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.

So here I go!

Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (drums)

And the nominees are:

I've selected these blogs because they are the ones I follow daily, I like them so much and I think they are all versatile in nature. Some are versatile by subject, some by photo's, some by choice of words or various crafts and materials covered. (Needless to say a tale from toadstool house, http://atalefromtoadstoolhouse.blogspot.com is also one of my favourites and should be up there as well.) They all inspire me and I love to share them with you.

And then for the 7 things about me:
Hear: To me the best sound in the world is the laughter of my loved ones, my husband and baby girl.
See: My favourite colour is the colour of the sky at dusk, when the dark- and light blue overlap and mingle.
Touch: I'm a fingerless glove - kind a girl. I feel deprived without my sense of touch, even when it's -12 C outside, like today.
Smell: I love to walk through the streets in the evening and smell the various evening diners being made, imagining who lives in the houses I pass and how they enjoy sharing that dinner with loved ones.
Taste: I thrive on deep dark chocolate.
Inspiration: Persian poetry by Hafiz or Rumi.
Love: My family is my biggest love. Building a nest, a haven, a home, is the best job in the world.

And now I'm off to inform my nominees...
Have a lovely evening!

  2. Bonjour Karen.
Merci beaucoup. Cordialement, Dominique

  6. Thanks so much, Karen! What a great compliment you've made us with this nomination!
I enjoyed reading the facts about yourself. Funny to read how you prefer fingerless gloves since for me, my hands get so incredibly cold that I lose all sense of touch because of that. So I might as well wear gloves WITH fingers and not hurt :)

    1. It is my pleasure to know your blog and to share it with those who read mine. Keep your fingers safe though, I don't think this winter has yet seen its tail.
